Alaska Landfill Operator Training (ALOT)

Alaska Landfill Operator Training (ALOT) is for the designated landfill operator in a village with a Class III landfill or open dump. The course focuses on the duties of the landfill operator, their personal safety, and the safety of the village. Emphasis is placed on the importance of the landfill operator's role to keep the village clean and the landfill free from harmful substances.

Alaska Landfill Operator Training (ALOT) is a newly developed training that expands the content of our previous landfill training offerings (RALO, RALA, HHW) to allow more encompassing content including covering all the responsibilities associated with landfill operations. The benefit of ALOT is that instructors can come to your community and conduct the training on-side, surveying your landfill and equipment while helping develop best practices. To schedule a training in your community, contact us.

This training is also offered virtually, see training dates below and register today!

Participants learn about landfill regulations and requirements, household hazardous waste, waste separation and screening, waste reduction and segregation, recycling, personal protection equipment, and much more.
